Agona Shporta

Agona Shporta presents “Hape Portën”, her debut album celebrating a rich tapestry of Albanian folklore and musical traditions. Joined by an acclaimed band of jazz and classically trained musicians such as guitarist Tringa Sadiku, pianist Ilir Bajri, bass player Enver Muhamedi and drummer Enes Beu, on August 4th, Agona begins the journey of her first album in her hometown of Prizren.

Recorded between Mostar and Prishtina, the album brings stories with compelling narratives through Agona’s distinctive voice carrying sounds of Indian classical music and jazz improvisation. From the haunting melodies of northern mountains, or spirited rhythms of the southern plains, each song allows a deep and intimate experience for the listener, while serving as a testament to the beauty and diversity of Albanian music.
