A pseudo-autobiographical 1963 film by Federico Fellini dealing with a director, Guido Anselmi, trying to make a film, but suffering from “director’s block.” To make things worse, his personal life is also going under a lot of stress: his health is not ideal, he doesn’t know where he is standing right now and he has problems with both his wife Luisa and his lover Carla In other words, everything is conspiring to make his film sink like the Titanic.
Director
Federico Fellini (20 January 1920 – 31 October 1993) was an Italian filmmaker. He was most famous for his "Felliniesque" style, that is, magical realism, but not enough to qualify. Surreal, but not too surreal. Strange, and yet highly sedate.
