A unique opportunity to get to the heart of a truly iconic and brilliant band. Part concert and part documentary, Decades follows New Order’s preparations as they re-stage their acclaimed collaboration So It Goes with the artist Liam Gillick. New Order rarely look backwards, yet for this project they had to reflect on and deconstruct their history – From Joy Division’s first television performance through to the present day incarnation of New Order. Features performances of Joy Division’s Shadowplay, Atmosphere, Disorder and Decades and New Order’s Blue Monday, The Perfect Kiss, Subculture, Your Silent Face, Fine Time and Bizarre Love Triangle.
Director
Mike Christie is an award-winning British TV and film director with a diverse and extensive body of work of some eighty broadcast documentaries for broadcasters BBC, Channel 4, Sky and Discovery, many of which have been feature length. He specialises in arts and sports films - often blending the two, to produce landmark films like the 2003 international hit Jump London, which launched Parkour/Free Running to a global audience. In addition to his acclaimed factual work, Mike has also made high profile shortform work for Apple, Red Bull and London 2012 Ceremonies.
