During the 90's, Croatia suffered systematic destruction of its anti-fascist monuments. By combining the images of these impressive works of abstract sculpture with the potent nature surrounding them, Monument creates powerful visual metaphors.
Director
Igor Grubić (born in 1969, lives and works in Zagreb) has been active as a multimedia artist since the nineties. His work includes site-specific interventions in public spaces, performances, photography and films. He is known for his activism and his consideration of public space as a means of expression. In 2000, he started working as a producer and author of documentaries, TV reportages and socially committed commercials.
