Filmi i dytë i Věra Chytilová, filmi absurdist dhe esktetikisht gozhdues i vitit 1966, Daisies, ishte një kult klasik i çastit dhe fëmijë i padurueshëm i Valës së Re Çekosllovake. I dhënë premierë dy vite para Pranverës së Pragës më 1968, ai ndjek fatkeqësitë e dy grave të quajtura Marie I dhe Marie II (të personifikuara nga dy aktore jo profesioniste Jitka Cerhová and Ivana Karbanová), të cilat vendosin të pasqyrojnë botën e butë përreth tyre. Në botën e tyre, asgjë tradicionale nuk është e shenjtë dhe ushqimi, rrobat, burrat dhe lufta bëhen edhe mjet mbrojtje edhe temë e rrengjeve të tyre. Kjo perlë provokuese dhe e përjetshme e kinemasë feministe është një ëndërr e keqe surrealiste dhe si asnjëherë më parë i lutet shikuesit të hap sytë për gjërat që kanë/nuk kanë rëndësi.

Věra Chytilová (2 February 1929 – 12 March 2014) was an avant-garde Czech film director and pioneer of Czech cinema. Banned by the Czechoslovak government in the 1960s, she is best known for her Czech New Wave film, Sedmikrásky (Daisies). Her subsequent films screened at international film festivals, including Vlčí bouda (1987), which screened at the 37th Berlin International Film Festival,[1] A Hoof Here, a Hoof There (1989), which screened at the 16th Moscow International Film Festival,[2] and The Inheritance or Fuckoffguysgoodday (1992), which screened at the 18th Moscow International Film Festival.[3] For her work, she received the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, Medal of Merit and the Czech Lion award
