Sherini po hap njërën prej xhamive të para në Evropë të udhëhequr nga gratë imame. Anëtarët e xhamisë synojnë të përballen dhe të sfidojnë frikën që e rrethon islamin dhe të bëjnë thirrje për një lloj tjetër të tij duke përfshirë një agjendë feministe. Sherini nuk ka durim. Ajo do ndryshim dhe barazi tani. Por nxitimi i saj e ndanë organizatën e saj deri në skaj të kolapsit. Pas divorcit të saj, Sherini fillon hapur të japë divorcin islam për gratë që janë të martuara pa lumturi dhe kryen martesa ndër-fetare të grave myslimane me burra jo-mysliman. Ajo do tu japë grave myslimane lirinë për tu divorcuar dhe martuar. Por si i thyen shekujt e tërë të traditës brenda për brenda një feje?
Director
Marie has launched two projects alongside her directing work. Her first project Syriatypes tells the stories of Syrian artists and activists that defy the stereotypes of victimhood and war. The second project is a virtual reality experience around contemporary dance in Senegal in collaboration with Afripedia and CPH:LAB, which premiered at the New Museum in New York. Marie worked on the feature documentary The War Show, winner of the Venice Days Award, and recently completed a documentary series for National Danish Television and the BBC about unaccompanied refugee children. The Reformist is Marie's second feature documentary.
