Featuring extensive unseen archive footage, Supersonic charts the meteoric rise of Oasis from the council estates of Manchester to some of the biggest concerts ever played, in just three short years. This palpable, raw and moving film shines a light on one of the most genre and generation-defining British bands of all time, and features candid new interviews with Noel and Liam Gallagher, their family, and members of the band and road crew.
Mat Whitecross was born in 1977 in Oxford, England. He is best known for The Road to Guantanamo (2006), Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll (2010) and Oasis: Supersonic (2016) which were screened at international festivals, and earned him awards.
