This allegorical docufiction provides the viewer with a lightly meditative and at the same time modern impression of the Christian holiday while paying witness to the transformation of the sacral space and the holiday’s religious message. The film’s anonymous protagonists from opposite sides of the world discuss the paths of their faith in this visually stylised and stylistically edited film.
Željka Suková, born 1977 in Rijeka, Croatia, Zeljka studied Graphic Arts at Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and New Media at Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. ‘Marija’s Own’ (2010) was her docu-fiction-feature film debut. Gustavo Beck studied Film in Rio de Janeiro and specialized in Filmmaking at the School of San Antonio de Los Baños, Cuba. He took Executive Production and Philosophy post-graduate courses.
