For more than 15 years, Jens Dahl has been one of the key screenwriters in Denmark, acting as both screenwriter and midwife for directors and screenwriting colleagues. He cowrote the screenplay for Nicolas Winding Refn’s Pusher, which was the milestone that introduced an entirely new kind of authenticity in Danish filmmaking and removed the moral, rocking forefinger often present in Danish social realism films. 2 Girls 1 Cake marks Dahl’s debut as director.
