A documentary film about old age that takes place in nursing homes. Under the contemplative look of a camera, the life and moments some old people face in their last stage are portrayed in an atmosphere of solitude and abandonment. These homes, and their long lasting passage of time, are the last station in life before setting out on the inevitable journey to death.
Cristian Soto was born in the south of Chile in Talcahuano in 1980. He grew up being looked after his grandparents. It is then when he was exposed to what would mark him in all his future films: getting old.
Catalina Vergara was born in 1981 in Concepción, in the south of Chile. She studied cinematography in Duoc UC Institute and won various awards with short films done during her studies. She did the documentary “Mujeres del Silencio” (Women of Silence).
